When I joined The Current, the publication was still growing into itself—just a few years old, with a small but scrappy team.

As Design Editor, I spent three years shaping how our stories looked and felt, experimenting with layouts, illustration styles, and visual language. Each issue was a chance to ask: how can design not just accompany a story, but amplify it? The work became a practice in collaboration and curiosity—we learned to make choices that served both the reader and the story, while evolving our aesthetic along the way.
